I am honoured and thrilled to have been awarded First Prize at the 2022 Hilton Head International Piano Competition. The experience afforded me the opportunity to meet and hear many talented pianists from around the world, and to perform some of my favourite piano music by Beethoven, Schumann, Chopin, Scriabin, Rachmaninoff, Medtner and Hamelin. In the final round, I had the privilege of playing Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor, Op. 30 with an orchestra for the very first time. It was wonderful to collaborate with Maestro John Morris Russell and the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra, and to share my love of music with such warm, enthusiastic audiences.
My first three performances from the competition can be viewed here:
First Round (Medtner, Scriabin and Chopin)
Second Round (Schumann and Hamelin)
Third Round (Beethoven and Rachmaninoff)
